Back in August I wrote that a number of mature trees in Vancouver had been poisoned by someone who apparently wanted to improve their oceanfront view.
The Vancouver media reports some good news:
"Five trees were poisoned with herbicide along Beach Avenue in Vancouver's west end. A woman who owned a condo directly opposite them has been charged."

A woman charged with poisoning trees in English Bay is in court Tuesday.
Five trees along Beach Avenue in Vancouver's west end were the targets of an attack. Someone drilled holes into the base of the trees and poured herbicide into each one.
Three of the trees died. Some of them were more than 30 years old, and could cost up to $100,000 to replace.
Last month police arrested a woman who used to own an apartment directly opposite the trees.
